Meet the Founder
Atabeyra “Aty” Acosta is the founder and facilitator of The Art of Peace Practice, where she helps children and families develop emotional awareness, resilience, and meaningful connection through art, mindfulness, and collaborative learning experiences.
Aty is a Certified Professional Life Coach, Certified Therapeutic Arts Practitioner, 200-Hour Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), and Certified Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) Facilitator. She is also certified in Youth Mental Health First Aid and is a Step Up For Students Approved Provider.
With a background in education and a passion for whole-child development, Aty designs educational and coaching-based experiences that make emotional learning creative, practical, and approachable. Her programs integrate art, mindfulness, age-appropriate brain education, and hands-on activities to help participants build emotional regulation, empathy, confidence, communication, and lifelong well-being. All services are educational and coaching-based and are not clinical therapy.
